Create a vanilla tRPC client with createTRPCClient<AppRouter>() and a terminating link such as httpBatchLink, import AppRouter with `import type`, set dynamic auth headers, and put the transformer on links (not the client constructor). Infer types with inferRouterInputs and inferRouterOutputs, handle TRPCClientError with try/catch or safe(), and abort calls with an AbortSignal.

Configure the tRPC client link chain: httpLink, httpBatchLink, httpBatchStreamLink, splitLink, loggerLink, wsLink, createWSClient, httpSubscriptionLink, unstable_localLink, retryLink. Choose the right terminating link, route subscriptions or non-batched calls with splitLink, pass per-operation context, and write custom links. Link options: url, headers, transformer, maxURLLength, maxItems, methodOverride, connectionParams, EventSource ponyfill.

Configure SuperJSON transformer on both server initTRPC.create({ transformer: superjson }) and every client terminating link (httpBatchLink, httpLink, httpBatchStreamLink, wsLink, httpSubscriptionLink), including each splitLink branch, to support Date, Map, Set, BigInt over the wire. Transformer must match on both sides. In v11, transformer goes on individual links, not the client constructor. Also devalue, custom and separate input/output transformers.
